Everyone, regardless of ability, needs to move for all aspects of wellness.  Sam Circh founded Watch Me Move fitness classes in order to provide that opportunity for children with special needs.  Sam's vast experience working with kids with different needs and a range of abilities as well as with fitness training, make him uniquely qualified in this field.  As the director of a summer camp for children with special needs that Sam works for, I have observed his talented work with kids for 15 years.  Sam is dedicated, is very patient and kind and most importantly, he genuinely cares about the well-being of the individuals he supports and works with.  Sam's passion to bring movement and fitness opportunities to kids with all levels of abilities and needs, makes Watch Me Move the perfect choice.

I have worked with Sam at a summer camp for children and young adults with a wide variety of disabilities, diagnoses, and impairments for 15 years. Sam is a counselor in the area of camp with the children with the most severe or involved diagnoses. His enthusiasm and dedication to these campers is amazing. He connects with them in such an awe-inspiring way. He is able to get them involved with different activities and with the other campers. His work ethic is fantastic and when he interacts with these children, he shines. He brings a uniqueness to the camp and he is a pleasure to work with. Sam’s drive to help children with disabilities improve their fitness and provide them with the opportunity to engage in movement based activities is fantastic. As a pediatric Occupational therapist, I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone to work with their child.

As a professor and speech/language clinician who has worked with children with special needs for 30 years, I can speak to the amazing rapport that Sam Circh has when working with children with cognitive and motor challenges.  Sam brings a positive outlook and tangible enjoyment to his interactions, along with solid academic knowledge that informs the activities and opportunities he has the children participate in.  He brings to his work a solid level of cooperation and team involvement that reinforces what is best for the youngsters in his care. Sam is wonderful to work with and children love him.

We have worked with Sam at the Genesee Valley Rotary Camp for 15 years. Our camp provides a week long rustic camping experience for children and adults with differing abilities and emotional needs.   Sam began his service to our campers at the age of 16. He was assigned to the area of camp that includes 25 of the most physically and emotionally challenged campers. This area of camp, called “Special” can be overwhelming to anyone regardless of age. Sam, at the age of 16, took to “Special” immediately, instantly diving right in and taking care of our camper’s every need. Throughout his 15 years at GVRC, it has become evident to campers and counselors alike that Sam’s energy and enthusiasm are contagious and undeniable.  It is truly amazing to witness Sam in action, using his musical talents and his upbeat positive nature to engage our Campers. Oh boy do they love to sing and dance and just be silly. Sam has given them this opportunity each and every year.  It is a complete relief to the staff in “Special” to know that Sam will be at camp to offer his amazing talents and caring nature to provide our campers with one of the best weeks of their lives.  It seems quite logical for Sam to evolve through Watch Me Move. Sam and the children he works with will be truly blessed to begin this new adventure. We are certain that Sam will continue to provide enriching and engaging movement experiences to children with special needs.

Sam has worked with our students for several years and in several capacities. When he was an Associate Teacher, he built strong relationships with our students. He was in tune to their social emotional well-being and provided them with consistent support, while encouraging them to be independent. Over the last two years, Sam has led movement and sports classes for all of our students. He has differentiated activities to meet the varied interests and levels of our students across the ages of five to 11 years old.  His energy level and warm demeanor make students feel comfortable and motivated to move their bodies and work hard. We look forward to continuing to work with Sam.

Parents...

Sam worked with my son in a special education private school setting for a year, and he was fantastic.  Sam brings a warmth, energy and level of commitment to the children he works with that is unparalleled.  He uses music and movement as a way to connect with children.  Three years have gone by since my son was in his class, and my son still remembers and talks about Sam.  I would highly encourage anyone to try out his classes and support this great business."

- Lauren P., mother of former student

Our daughter, Elle, started working with Sam after a school evaluation alerted us of some PT and OT challenges. Sam created a "fitness class" that focused on the areas she needed to improve on - balance, core strength and coordination. He made each session fun through activities that felt more like games rather than work and we have seen great improvement in a short period of time. We have seen how Sam encourages each child with his wonderful enthusiasm and uplifting nature and he is a natural with kids. We highly recommend Sam for any child that is looking to establish a fitness routine that they can build on for the rest of their lives. - - Amy & Marc Zwerdling
