Movement During Quarantine Part 1

While we’re at home, it’s more important than ever to move your body. When approaching fitness with children, always make sure to keep it playful. Do the activities with your child and have fun, chances are your enthusiasm will be contagious! Positive feedback and validation, possibly even a simple reward system, can go a long way to making movement activities more positive and impactful for your child. In situations such as we’re in, it is a perfect time to BE the example for your child, an active parent makes an active child. Make sure to do a wide variety of activities. Depending on your child, it may be best to make fitness activities planned throughout the day, and possibly even have the activities themselves be planned
In the following blog posts, I’ve put together lots of ideas for fun ways to do movement activities with your child and incorporate movement at home throughout the day. Most importantly, remember to have FUN with your child while doing movement activities. Feel free to be silly, explore, make mistakes, use your imagination, or even learn a new skill together.
