Prepare to be silly and creative! Waddle like a duck, march like a soldier, flop like a rag doll, dance like a robot, stomp like a dinosaur, slither like a snake…use your imagination!

Body spelling: C (on bottom curved or standing), D or O (bent over rounded back touching feet), E (on bottom with arms), F (standing with arms), I (standing), K (standing leg pointed arm 45 degrees), L (on knees legs back or on bottom legs forward), P (standing arm to top of forehead), R (same as P add leg point), S (on knees curve back and extend arms), T (standing arms to side), V (v-sit), Y (arms stretched out overhead), Z (on knees legs back arms to front). Also see what numbers you can make. Get creative and see if you can make letters and number shapes with a partner.

Creative movement: build with blocks / climb a ladder / climb a tree / dance slowly then quickly / deliver the mail / firefighter / dig a hole with a shovel & gardening / erase the chalkboard & at school / hammer nails & construction / hanging up laundry / ice skating / juggle / march like a soldier / paddle & row / play guitar / shoot an arrow / swings (baseball, hockey, golf, tennis) / throw (overhand, underhand, football, chest pass, overhead pass)

Can you make your body small? What’s the smallest you can make your body and still move around? Can you make your body big? What’s the biggest you can make your body and still move around?

Can you balance on 1 foot? 1 foot and 1 hand? 1 foot and 2 hands? 2 hands and no feet? Can you hop on one foot? The other? Is one easier or harder? Can you alternate jumping on one foot to the other?

Use “movement words” and see what kids think that movement looks like: jiggle, collapse, swing, melt, dart, stretch, flop, stomp, twirl, sneak, bounce, slink, crouch, soar, trudge, kick, gallop, shimmy

Just for fun, try a little "Booty Scooty"

Start on bottom with hands in the air and legs bent at knees in front. Without using bands, use only legs to scoot forward. You can also turn this into "Carousel" by keeping bottom on floor and spinning in circles using your hands. Be sure to go both directions to avoid dizziness.
